As part of your district’s newly approved curriculum supporting students’ health and physical literacy, your administrator has requested each teacher to submit 2 cross-curriculum lesson plans that integrate health and physical education concepts with other content areas’ classroom instruction. 

Preparation

Do the following to prepare for this assessment:

· Choose a grade level (K–5th) to be the basis of your lesson plans.

· Choose a health standard from Appendix A, “National Health Education Standards” of 
Health and Physical Education for Elementary Classroom Teachers.

· Choose a PE standard from Appendix B, “National Standards and Grade-Level Outcomes for K–12 Physical Education” of 
Health and Physical Education for Elementary Classroom Teachers.
